Dennis Effah: Perseverance in the Face of a Pandemic

While the rest of the world seemed to grind to a halt in early 2020 in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dennis Effah wouldn’t let his forward momentum be slowed.

Joining us in 2020 as an Investment Accountant, Dennis arrived at Vestcor after following an educational path that started in his home town of Accra, Ghana, took him to Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, England, and finally, to UNB’s Master in Quantitative Investment Management (MQIM) program here in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

In addition to Effah’s rich educational background and experience working in the banking and investment industries in Ghana, he was also a member of the team UNB of MQIM students who placed third globally in the MATLAB competition of the Risk Management Challenge, hosted by the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA).
